WSJ: Nobody Can Figure Out Hotel Room Lights Anymore

Jill was featured in the Wall Street Journal talking about how hotel lighting is generally not conducive to helping clients rest and recover from their travels. Getting a good night’s sleep is essential for maintaining good mental and physical health. Hotel lighting systems tend to be “too cool for school” which makes them near-impossible to figure out when all one wants is a good night’s rest. “You don’t want a bright light at 3 o’clock in the morning,” she says. “That’s totally going to screw up your sleep.”

  • Empower Your Next Chapter with Jill Beck: A Tactical Approach to Thriving in Midlife

Loved talking with Midori Verity, CEO of Fuel to Fire, about how empowered women can be once they cross a certain age threshold. Her podcast, ‘The Female Millionaire', highlights the inspiring experiences of outstanding women who have a growth mindset and are willing to take bold steps to reach $1M + in revenue, become financially independent, and build significant wealth.

Special note: Some f bombs and other 4 letter words were dropped during this discussion. Sorry, not sorry

  • Flipping Fifty: Find the Right Coach

It’s Match-dot-com for wellness! My guest today is making it easy for women over 40 to find the right coach. And she’s also midlife herself so this episode is so meta in terms of examples of creatively following your passion, finding a problem and solving it!

Women in business are to be applauded! And women in wellness, well don’t we all need not MORE, but better choices. We need programs based on science, science featuring women just like you.

If you have ever struggled to find the right coach, (or trainer) then this is for you!

  • Guest Post: Your Brand is Only as Healthy as You Are

Thanks to Danielle Hughes, Founder and Owner of More Than Words Marketing for allowing me to write about how taking care of yourself is the ultimate “mid-life flex”.

It’s hard to know when this whole BS narrative of having to look younger than your actual age started, but it’s an impossible standard to live up to. I get into that it’s time to dispel the myths and invest in yourself for a change.

  • Interrupted: Act 2 - Reinventing Your Legacy with Laurie Hardie

It was a great discussion with Laurie talking about my journey with understanding osteopenia, sarcopenia and osteoporosis and why women need to more proactively manage their risks to these conditions. She is now a grandmother and takes significant pride being able to be active with them. Laurie is a great example of it never being too late to make the changes in your life that you want to make.

  • Beauty Hunter with Tatyana Sussex

I had the opportunity to be a guest on "Beauty Hunter", a podcast hosted by Tatyana Sussex. She is all about finding the beauty in the obvious and not-so-obvious places in life.

We talked about how it doesn't need to be a battle to get healthy. It should be about finding the right person or program that understands you. Wellness should be about putting you in a position to do the things you love in life for the long-term - whether it’s playing with your kids or grandkids, traveling, walking your dog, etc.

It's not about the quick-fix programs that we're bombarded with on social media. It’s about the ability for you to ‘GO LONG!’

  • "This Show Is All About You" with JD Wyneken

I had the pleasure of talking to JD about the "sandwich generation" of people typically in their 40s and 50s, who often are taking care of kids and parents but putting their own health last in their lists of "to do's". We spoke about Go Long’s approach of helping people connect with what truly matters in their day-to-day lives, what they want to be doing in the future, and finds them the ideal professionals with which to work with to reach their goals.

  • "Stacy Connects" with Stacy Heller

It was an absolute blast talking to Stacy around the myth of being “the picture of health” is NOT about weight or size. Stacy and I talked about how Go Long’s research proved that most fitness offerings fail the end-user and soil the overall fitness experience for people. Go Long’s solution? Connect clients with resources that will help them achieve their goals, whether that’s a marathon, a leisurely stroll through Italy, playing pickleball or cheering the grandkids on while they play soccer.
